Thomas N. Barrett was born on September 30, 1947 in Eugene, Oregon. He was named after an uncle, a law student, who was killed in Belgium during the World War II.
Following the family tradition, Dr. Barrett served our country by joining the military. Initially he was a medic. Later, as a dentist, he was a resident at Walter Reed Medical Center. With tours that took him around the world including Texas, Arizona, Washington D.C., Kansas, Hawaii, and Korea, Dr. Barrett provided dentistry and endodontic services to the men and women of our armed forces.
Education has always been important to the Barrett family. Dr. Barrett attended the University of Arizona and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University. He went on to Oregon Health Sciences University, graduating in 1976 with a degree in Dentistry. He completed his endodontic residency at Walter Reed Medical Center in 1982, earning his Certificate of Endodontics. Dr. Barrett also earned his Master of Science Degree that same year from George Washington University.
Dr. Barrett and his wife Susan have three sons and two daughter-in laws. Kevin and Ryan attend law school, and Derek holds a Master of Science degree in finance. With a busy lifestyle and everyone on the go, their family cherishes the time that they share together.
The newest addition to the family, Rose, is a beautiful black lab that keeps everyone entertained, including the four cats! Dr. Barrett enjoys spending time with them. He also keeps busy with his hobbies which include music, art, motorcycles, and old cars.
Dr. Barrett has been in private practice since 1984. |
